Pour déterminer si les panneaux de façade ne décolorent pas, Rockpanel s’appuie sur la méthode de classification ISO 105 A02. Cette échelle de gris montre les changements de couleur des échantillons de produit. Elle va de 1 (variation significative - la moins bonne classification) à 5 (aucune variation - la meilleure classification).
Mais comment ce test fonctionne-t-il ? Nous voulons bien entendu offrir la meilleure qualité pendant des décennies, mais cela prendrait trop de temps d’attendre des années et des années pour obtenir des résultats dans des conditions réelles. C’est pour cette raison que nous utilisons les résultats d’un test de vieillissement de 3 000 et 5 000 heures. Cela représente le vieillissement d’une façade verticale orientée sud.
À cette fin, de petits échantillons de nos panneaux sont testés dans un équipement de vieillissement artificiel. Avec des lampes au xénon très fortes, nous simulons des radiations UV intensives et continues. Au bout de 3 000 et 5 000 heures, la variation de couleur des échantillons est testée à l’aide d’un appareil de mesure, ce qui permet d’obtenir des résultats très précis et objectifs.
De nombreux autres producteurs de panneaux de revêtement ne fournissent des résultats de tests de non-décoloration que pour 3 000 heures, il est donc important de vérifier les durées au moment de comparer les résultats.
